2011 marks the 80th Anniversary of the HB earthquake and we invited students & schools to learn about earthquakes, tsunami and floods while making the shortest disaster movie ever!
- Aim: To encourage school children to learn about disaster preparedness along with earthquake, flooding and tsunami risk.
- Target: All Primary/Immediate and Secondary Schools in Hawke’s Bay
The competition required:
- Shortest Disaster Movie Ever’ at a maximum of 10 minutes.
- The winning movies were those that contained clear, creative and concise messages focusing on “What to do to be safe in a tsunami, flood or earthquake emergency?”
